APBn nabs man with gold, foreign currency at HSIA

Armed Police Battalion (APBn) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) has arrested a person in possession of 500 grams of gold ornament and huge foreign currencies.
The arrestee was identified as Mofidul Islam (43).
He returned to Bangladesh from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) after completing his task as a Muallem (guide) for an umrah team.
APBn police super Mohammad Rezaul Kabir said that Mofidul Islam (43) was arrested from car parking area ( Agomoni Canopy -2) of the airport on Thursday afternoon.
He said the arrestee who returned to the country from Saudi Arabia tried to flee sensing the presence of police, but failed. He was later taken to the APBn airport office.
