Mahmudul Hasan, a 20-year-old youth, has been suffering bilateral emphysema, a chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, for one year. He was also an SSC candidate in 2022.

As his health condition worsened, he received treatment at various hospitals, including National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and also Apollo hospital Chennai.

Mahmudul's father Abdul Ohab Sheikh is a farmer from Faridpur Sadar upazila. The family said they need approximately Tk 6.0 million for his better treatment (according to Apollo hospital Chennai's estimate).
