Internationally-renowned architect Marina Tabassum has agreed to become the chairperson of the governing body of Bangladesh National Museum, according to an announcement by the Cultural Affairs Adviser to the interim government, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, on Thursday, reports UNB.
"We are glad Time magazine's one of the 100 most influential people of 2024 Marina Tabassum has agreed to be the chairperson of Bangladesh National Museum governing body," the adviser wrote.
Farooki shared the news on his Facebook page, expressing optimism about the celebrated architect's leadership and vision for modernising the museum.
