Army Chief returns from Qatar

President of Bangladesh Olympic Association and Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed has returned home, wrapping his official visit to Qatar, says a press release.

He returned to Bangladesh on Friday after attending the closing ceremony of the "Qatar Grand Prix-2023" in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

He went to the country at the invitation of Mohammed Yousef Almana, the first vice president of the Qatar Olympic Committee and President of the Qatar Weightlifting Federation on Tuesday.

The presence of the Army Chief in the Qatar Grand Prix-2023 inspired the participating Bangladeshi athletes.

Besides, he participated in the meetings with delegates from different countries.
