Army chief returns home from Saudi Arabia

Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed returned home on Tuesday from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after attending the 'Saudi National Games-2023' as the President of Bangladesh Olympic Association, reports BSS.

On November 25, General Ahmed went to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Sports Minister of Saudi Arabia and President of the Saudi Games Organising Committee, said a release.

He later attended the general assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation.

The army chief also exchanged views on various issues of mutual sports development in meetings with representatives from different countries, it added.

'Saudi National Games-2023' this year is being held in Riyadh, from November 26 to December 10.
