A Dhaka court Tuesday issued an arrest warrant against six Proshika high-ups, including its chairman Kazi Faruk, in a fraudulence case, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque passed the order following pleas filed by the lawyers of the complainant.
The other accused are Proshika executive director Kazi Khazi Alam, directors Altaf Hossain, Abul Kashem and Mahbubul Alam and deputy director Alamgir Hossain.
Quamrul Islam, former computer operator of the NGO, filed the case against the six Proshika officials with Rupnagar Thana on September, 2013.
According to the case statement, Quamrul went on retirement from the organisation on September 27, 2011 due to his physical inability. Although he was supposed to get Tk 0.14 million from the NGO during the retirement, Proshika provided him only Tk 0.05 million.
