Atgharia UZ chairman suspended

PABNA, Dec 22 (UNB): Atgharia Upazila Parishad chairman Maulana Jahurul Islam Khan has been suspended as he is a charge-sheeted accused.

A letter signed by M Sabur Hossain, deputy secretary of the LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry, ordering the suspension of the upazila chairman reached the deputy commissioner of Pabna on Monday.

Confirming the matter, Atgharia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Alimun Rajib said he received a copy of the gazette notification suspending the upazila chairman from the DC office through fax.
