Attack on journo protested

The executive council of Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha (JSS) Tuesday staged a human chain in front of the National Press Club (JPC) protesting assault by the police on Akhil Poddar, special correspondent of the private TV channel 'Ekushey Television,' reports BSS.
The journalists' leaders also demanded punishment to the alleged police official and urged the government to formulate an act immediately to ensure security of the newsman.
