M Abul Kalam Azad today formally took over the charge of Chief National Commissioner of the Bangladesh Scouts, reports BSS.
The outgoing Chief National Commissioner, M Fazlur Rahman handed over the charge at a function held at the Bangladesh Scouts headquarters in the city.
Newly elected Vice-president of Bangladesh Scouts SM Zahurul Islam presided over the function, a scouts press release said.
Earlier, President Iajuddin Ahmed awarded the certificate of Chief National Commi-ssioner of Bangladesh Scouts to M Abul Kalam Azad.
