Sakhawat Hossain Badsha, special correspondent of the daily Inqilab and Elias Hossain, special correspondent of Independent TV, were elected president and general secretary respectively of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Sunday for the 2015 term, reports UNB.
Badsha bagged 366 votes while his nearest rival candidate Jamaluddin of daily Ittefaq polled 337 votes.
Elias Hossain got 429 votes while his nearest competitor Rakib Hasnat Sumon of BBC secured 346 votes.
