Ban on gathering around Proshika headquarters

The police Monday imposed an embargo on all kinds of gathering, rally and procession around the headquarters of Proshika, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), at Mirpur in the city for public safety.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) enforced the ban as two rival groups of one of the country's largest NGOs have been demonstrating in front of the head office for the last seven days for taking its control.
The ban became effective from 2:00pm Monday until further notice, Officer-in-Charge of Pallabi police station Iqbal Hossain told the FE, adding.
