Nurbas Samayween, a Bangladeshi architect, has won the first prize in an international competition to design an Islamic Centre in Zurich.
The competition was organised by the Foreign Architect Switzerland and the Islamic Centre will be built along Limmat River, said a press release.
Nurbas is now working as assistant professor of architecture department at Howard University in Washington DC.
She is the youngest daughter of engineer Syed Mosharraf Hossain and she herself is an architectural graduate from BUET.
