Bangladeshi hurt in BSF firing

MEHERPUR, Aug 1 (BSS) A Bangladeshi was injured in firing by the Border Security Force (BSF) of India in the Buriputa frontier area last night in Meherpur.
The victim was identified as Abdul Hannan, son of Atahar Ali of Khalpara village in the Khalputa area.
Camp Commander of Buriputa BGB Alamgir Hossain confirmed the incident. He said BSF of Natna Camp under Nadia district of India opened fire when Abdul Hannan went near the barbed fence wire at Khalpar border around 9.00pm on Thursday.
Alamgir Hossain said several others were managed to escape at that time who were along with Hannan. Hannan fell down on the ground receiving bullet.
