Bangladeshi wins World Hifzul Quran competition in Egypt

Another Bangladeshi boy won the first prize in the World Hifzul Quran competition held in Egyptian capital Cairo recently, reports UNB.
Hafez Abdullah Al Mahmood (Redwan), a student of Tejgaon Railway Nurani Madrasah in the city, defeated the contestants of 50 countries. He received 30,000 Egyptian pound, a certificate and other prizes from President Hosni Mubarak on the night of Shab-e-Qadr.
So far, three Bangladeshi students -- Hafez Fazle Rabbi, Hafeza Sajeda Khatun and Hafez Abdullah Al Mahmood -- secured first position in different international Hifzul Quran competitions held this year in Dubai (UAE), Libya and Egypt.
