Bangladeshi youth shot by BSF on Kurigram border

Kurigram, Mar 1 (UNB): A Bangladesh youth was shot by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Shimulbari border at Khalisa Kotal area in Phulbari Upazila in the district on Saturday, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Mukul Miah (25), son of Ismail Hossain of Paschim Balatari village of the upazila.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) company commander Subedar Raimuhan Rai said BSF troops of Boskutal camp in Kuchbihar district fired shots at Mukul in the area before dawn, leaving him injured. Later, the BSF members took him to the Indian territory.
BGB sources said they sent a letter to the BSF protesting the incident and seeking Mukul's return.
