Basic journalism training for ethnic youths begins

A three-day Basic Journalism Training for ethnic youths began in Rangamati Wednesday with the objective of ensuring their representation in the media and facilitate better coverage of the ethnic groups in the mainstream media, reports UNB.
Management and Resources Development Initiative (MRDI) organised the programme under a project titled 'Bridging Media and Ethnicity' supported by the Delegation of the European Commission in Bangladesh.
Twenty youths from different ethnic groups in Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban districts are taking part in the training.
Freelance journalist Qurratul-Ain-Tahmina, Daily Star Deputy Editor Sharier Khan, Shahana Huda of Manusher Jonnyo Foundation and Hari Kishore Chakma, Staff Reporter of Daily Prothom Alo are conducting the training.
