BATB stands beside flood-affected people

The British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) has taken up a programme to help the flood-affected people in Manikganj.
More than 70 tonnes of food and medicines will be distributed among some 25000 people of 5000 families in the district.
The BATB employees have prepared survival kits containing basic food items such as rice, lentil, molasses and parched rice and medicines including water purification tablets and oral salines. The content of each kit will be sufficient for a household to survive for a week.
The distribution programme was inaugurated by Nicholas Hales, Managing Director, British American Tobacco Bangladesh along with other employees of the company, Ataur Rahman, Manikganj Deputy Commissioner and Arif Hossain in the affected areas of Manikganj.
The flood relief items will be distributed by boats and trucks until August 14.
