The well-marked low over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression, raising the likelihood of gusty or squally winds, reports bdnews24.com.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) advised the country's seaports to continue displaying Local Cautionary Signal No. 3. The depression is not likely to develop into a cyclone, according to BMD Assistant Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa. She told the news agency, "There is no possibility of the depression developing into a cyclone. It may intensify into a deep depression."
"It could strengthen into a deep depression and cross the coast by today (Monday) evening or night. It is expected to make landfall along the Odisha coast, not Bangladesh's coast.
