BB asks banks to take measures for dengue prevention

In the wake of dengue outbreak across the country, Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Sunday instructed banks to take adequate measures to protect bank employees and customers from dengue, reports UNB.

Banking Regulation and Policy Department (BRPD) gave special instructions to banks to destroy the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes and keep the bank premises and its surroundings clean regularly to prevent dengue.

The central bank also gave instruction to raise awareness about the prevention of dengue in order to protect officers, employees, and customers of banks and clean regularly the bank's head office, branches, sub-branches, agent outlets, training centers, ATM booths, and call centers and its surroundings.
