BB book editor apologises to HC over distorting history

Editor of a book titled Bangladesh Bank-er Itihash (History of Bangladesh Bank) Shubhankar Saha rendered on Tuesday unconditional apology before High Court over allegation of distorting history in the book by not publishing photograph of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports BSS.

Mr Saha appeared before a High Court division bench comprising Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Mohammad Ali and rendered his apology.

The court set April 9 for further hearing in this regard.

Saha in his defence said he and his team could not publish any photograph of Bangabandhu as they did not find his any picture related to Bangladesh Bank.

"You had highlighted persons like Ayub Khan and Monayem Khan but have not been able to get any photograph of Bangabandhu?" asked the High Court.

At this stage, Saha again apologised for that.
