Md Abdul Razzak, revenue board member (tax administration and human resources management), and Md Alamgir Hossain, director of central intelligence cell (CIC), were elected president and secretary general of Bangladesh Civil Service (Taxation) Association respectively for 2015-16.
They were elected in the association's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and executive council election in the city Thursday, said a news release.
NBR's tax commissioners Sanjit Kumar Biswas, Md Sultan Mahmud and Md Meftah Uddin Khan were made vice-presidents of the association.
Additional tax commissioner MM Fazlul Haque was elected treasurer while additional tax commissioners Md Lutful Azim and Md Shamimur Rahman joint secretary general.
Other office-bearers are NBR's deputy tax commissioner Md Jehad Uddin (publicity and publication secretary), deputy tax commissioner Masuma Khatun (assistant publicity and publication secretary) and joint tax commissioner Syed Zakir Hossain (office secretary).
