BD Atomic Energy Control Bill passed

Parliament on Sunday passed a bill, titled 'Bangladesh Atomic Energy Control (Amendment) Bill, 2014, aiming to relax the qualifications to become chairman and members of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Control Authority, reports UNB.
State Minister for Science and Information & Communication Technology Architect Yeafesh Osman moved the Bill that was passed by voice vote.
The bill states that the chairman and the members of the Authority will be appointed from the individuals who have adequate qualification and experience about nuclear energy management.
It says one member will be appointed from those who have qualification and experience about power generation and transmission.
