BD envoy visits New Delhi book fair

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali has called for promoting Bengali language and literature among children and young learners, reports UNB.
He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a weeklong book fair organised by Bengal Association, New Delhi on the Kali Mandir premises on Sunday.
The High Commissioner underlined the need for foreign language books to be translated into Bangla to further enrich Bengali literature and culture.
He said Bangla should also be a language of computer in this digital age. Bangladesh government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing various programmes on computer literacy and digital learning.
Muazzem Ali was felicitated by the officials of Bengal Association.
Farid Hossain, Minister (Press), and AFM Zahid-ul-Islam, Counsellor at Bangladesh High Commission, were present at the function.
