BD journo honoured

The WMS Global Awards for Excellence 2014 recognised Bangladeshi senior journalist Sheuli Akter with an honourable mention, the board of judges announced Monday last in Beijing, reports Xinhua.

Sheuli Akter earned an honourable mention in the Exemplary News Professionals in Developing Countries category, for her story titled, "Emerging from Bangladesh's worst ever industrial tragedy: survivors develop new skills, find jobs."

Sheuli Akter is daughter of Senior Journalist Mahbubur Rashid of The Financial Express. She had worked in The Bangladesh Observer and UNB, a top leading news agency.
