BD, Malta can work together to utilise commercial potentialities: Inu

Consulate of Republic of Malta hosted a reception on Tuesday at a hotel in the capital to mark its 54th National Day.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu attended the event as the chief guest while Honorary Consul of Malta M. Shoeb Chowdhury gave the welcome speech.

Shoeb Chowdhury greeted and extended compliments to the guests on behalf of the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca and Maltese Premier Joseph Muscat.

Shoeb Chowdhury congratulated the government and people of Malta on the occasion of its Independence Day.

Mr. Chowdhury called upon Bangladeshi tourists and entrepreneurs to visit Malta for exploring the beauty, resources, business prospects and cultural heritage of Malta.

The information minister congratulated Maltese government on its 54th Independence Day saying that Bangladesh and Malta can work together to utilise the commercial potentialities existing between the two countries.

Besides, Bangladesh and Malta can take up joint initiatives to tackle the adverse effects of climate change and other environmental challenges, Inu added.

High government officials, diplomats from different foreign missions, politicians, business leaders, journalists, academic scholars and other dignitaries joined the occasion.
