Bangladesh has begun testing satellite-based high-speed internet on moving trains for the first time, using the Starlink service operated by SpaceX.
The pilot project has been launched by Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) in collaboration with Bangladesh Railway, allowing passengers to access onboard Wi-Fi powered by satellite connectivity while travelling.
According to BSCL, the experimental service was introduced on March 13 and is currently being tested on three intercity trains - Parjatak Express, Upaban Express, and Banalata Express.
