BDR detains gun runner, seizes three firearms

BENAPOLE, Aug 24 (BSS): Members of Bangladesh Rifles detained a terrorist and gun runner and seized two revolvers, one pipe-gun and four bullets from Shahjadpur under Chaugachha Upazila in Jessore in the early hours of today.
Sources said, acting on a tip-off, a team of the 22 Rifle Battalion from Shahjadpur BOP detained one Kamruzzaman (31) son, of Fazlur Rahman of the village and seized the firearms from his possession.
The arrested person along with the seized firearms was handed over to the police.
A case was filed with Chougachha police station in this connection.
