BDR seize smuggled cloths in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Aug 31 (UNB): The members of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) seized smuggled Indian cloths worth Tk 5.0 million from a truck near Reazuddin Bazaar in the city Thursday afternoon.
Acting on a tip-off, they chased the truck and seized 30 sacks of Indian sari, three-piece and other cloths.
Sensing danger, truck driver pulled over the vehicle near the bazaar and fled away.
A case was filed in this connection with the Kotwali thana.
