The border guards at first jointly patrolled with two petrol-driven boats each in the Naf river and then kept vigil on no man's land.

When contacted, Commanding Officer of 2nd Battalion of BGB in Teknaf Lt Col Mohammad Asaduz Zaman Chowdhury confirmed the matter to this correspondent.
Earlier, BGB and BGP were on joint patrol in Tumbru and Ghundhum borders on March 4 and in the Naf river on March 14.
BGB officials said regular joint patrol on border is indispensable for friendly relations between people of both the countries. Ten months ago, both the countries carried out joint patrol which was halted due to recent Rohingya issue.
