BGB men detained by BSF, later freed

RAJSHAHI, Mar 8: Two members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were arrested by BSF members at Godagari frontier area around 3:00am on Saturday morning as they crossed into Indian territory mistakenly during patrolling. However, they were released 13 hours after their detainment following a flag meeting.
BGB 37 Battalion sources informed, early morning at around 3-00 am today BGB members Ali Newaz and Asad mistakenly entered into Indian territory through Bakchar area under Godagari thana of the district.
They were challenged by the members of BSF and were later detained and taken to Khandua BSF camp under Lalgola thana of Murshedabad district of West Bengal.
Being informed, Lieutenant Colonel Nazim Khan, Commander of 37 BGB Battalion, Rajshahi held a flag meeting with the BSF officials and brought back Ali Newaz and Asad to Bangladesh around 4:00pm.
