Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled goods and contraband narcotic items worth around Tk 755.6 million (75.56 crore) conducting anti-smuggling drives across the country, mostly in frontier areas, in May this year, reports UNB.
Seized contraband narcotic items included 7,66,828 pieces Yaba pills, 5,076 bottles of foreign wines, 271 local liquor, 1993 cans of bear, 28,700 bottles of Phensidyle, 1390- kg hemp, 1.250- kg heroin (brown sugar), 6,24,730 pieces of injections and 7,39,620 other tablets.
Other seized smuggled goods, included 10.899 kg gold, 16,770 pieces of Sharees, 6,073 pieces of three pieces/shirt pieces, 3313 metres fabrics and 7997 pieces readymade garments.
