Employees of national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines will lay a siege to the office of its chairman on July 3 if their demands are not met, reports UNB.
Biman Sramik League President Moshiur Rahman declared the programme following their siege programme to Biman's acting MD's office at its headquarters Balaka in the city.
A group of employees and CBA leaders of Biman Bangladesh Airlines kept the Biman acting managing director confined to his office room at Balaka earlier in the day to press home their 14-point demand.
The demands include continuation of uniform allowance of Biman employees, provide dearness allowance and restore medical allowance as previous.
The Biman employees and CBA leaders began the siege with their six-point demand and later Biman Flight Catering Centre (BFCC) joined the programme with their eight-point demand.
Several hundred workers and employees of the national airlines laid siege to the acting MD's office at Biman headquarters Balaka in the city from 11:15 am which was withdrawn at 1.15 pm.
