\\\'bKash\\\' agent shot, robbed of Tk 0.4m in city

Muggers shot an agent of 'bKash' and looted about Tk 0.4 million from him near Bangladesh Television (BTV) Bhaban at Rampura in the city Thursday, reports UNB.

The injured was identified as Kazi Ramjan Hossain, 35, a sales executive of mobile banking service 'bKash' and son of Amir Hossain in the Khilgaon area of the city.

Quoting the victim, his friend Feroz said a gang of hoodlums intercepted Ramjan when he was returning to Khilgaon Taltala after collecting money from 'bKash' dealers in the area around 12:15pm.

Later, they shot him in the leg and snatched the money kept in a bag.

With bullet injuries to his right leg, Ramjan was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Inspector Mozammel, in-charge of DMCH police camp, confirmed the incident.
