Bodies of two tourists recovered in Mirsarai

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 04 (UNB): The bodies of two missing tourists were recovered on Friday from Rupsi Jharna, a waterfall in Mirsarai, Chattogram.

A search and rescue team from the Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defence retrieved the bodies at around 01:00 pm, said Imam Hossain Patwari, the station officer. The tourists' identities have yet to be confirmed.

According to eyewitnesses, the two individuals had been visiting the waterfall but tragically drowned, prompting a rescue operation by the fire service.

Imam stated the diving team began their search at approximately at 11:00 am, after receiving the report of the missing tourists. The bodies were recovered two hours later.
