Body recovered in city

Police recovered slaughtered body of a police informant from near a slum in the city's Shah Ali thana area on Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Md Jasim (35), son of Hanif Hawlader of Kingshok Balurmath (Sand field) slum of Mirpur. Hailing from Sirajdikhan Upazila of Munshiganj district, Jasim was working as an informer of police and RAB, police sources said.

Being informed, a team of Shahbagh thana police went to the spot and recovered the body from a road, in front of the slum, said duty -officer of the thana.
