Boy drowns in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Aug 1 (BSS): An eight-year-old boy drowned in a pond in the Lelung area under Fatikchhari Upazila this morning.

The deceased Abu Bakar, son of Mohammad Zahedul Islam, hailed from the Shahnagar area of Lelung union under Fatikchhari Upazila of the district.

Police and family sources said Bakar suddenly slipped into a pond by the side of which he was playing.

Locals rescued the victim and sent him to the Fatikchhari Health complex where the attending doctors pronounced him dead.
