BR to get 120 coaches from India

In next two years, Bangladesh Railway will add 120 new broad-gauge coaches to its fleet.
To procure the coaches at a cost of nearly Tk 9.76 billion with Indian funding, the railways ministry signed an agreement on Wednesday.
As per the agreement, a government of India undertaking, RITES will supply the coaches in next 24 months.
Railway's Additional Director General Khalilur Rahman and RITES Executive Director VK Jain were the signatories to the agreement.
Railways Minister Md Mazibul Hoque at the signing of the agreement at Rail Bhabsn urged the RITES to supply the coaches as soon as possible.
