BRAC marks 1st year of Kumon Method in BD

Marking the first year of introduction of Kumon Method in Bangladesh, BRAC Kumon Ltd organised a programme in Savar recently. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed KCMG, founder and chairperson of BRAC, was present as the chief guest on the occasion, says a press release.

In the programme, certificates were distributed among the Advanced Student Honour Roll (ASHR) students.

The Kumon Method is an individualised learning method. The starting point for each Kumon student is determined individually. Students start with the level where they can attain a perfect score by studying on their own

ASHR students are those who have gained the capability to move beyond their grade level at school through the persistent practice of mathematics.

SN Kairy, Vice Chancellor (Acting) and Treasurer of BRAC University, Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, Director of BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL), Keisuke Sawada, Programme Adviser of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Daisuke Arai, Country Representative of JETRO Dhaka, Hiroto Yamashita, Team leader of KAO, among others, were also present on the occasion.
