BRAC has been awarded, for the third consecutive year, the National Award 2006 for 'Best Published Accounts and Reports' by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).
BRAC has secured first position in the NGO-MFI Sector. It also received the same award in 2004 and 2005.
ICAB is the National Professional Accounting Body of Bangladesh, a member of the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), working with the mission to provide leadership in the development, enhancement and coordination of the accountancy profession in Bangladesh in order to enable the profession to provide services of consistently high quality in the public interest.
