British HC greets 24 BD C'wealth scholars

A total of 24 talented individuals have received commonwealth scholarships from Bangladesh in top-notch UK universities like the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University College London, University of Warwick and University of Edinburg, reports BSS.

The British Council on Monday organised a pre-departure briefing for the Commonwealth scholars awarded in 2023 from Bangladesh in the British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke residence, a press release said.

Congratulating the awardees, the British envoy said that as part of the UK's ongoing commitment to the Commonwealth, around 800 students from Commonwealth countries are given the chance to undertake postgraduate degrees with UK universities each year.
