BRTC, Railway advance tickets from tomorrow

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will start selling advance bus tickets ahead of Eid-ul-Azha from tomorrow (Monday), said officials.

BRTC will start its 'Eid Special Service' on August 08 (Thursday) which might be the last office day.

The tickets can be purchased from all the BRTC depots including Motijheel, Gabtoli and Kallyanpur of the capital and also from Gazipur, Joarsahara, Uthali and Narayanganj, a BRTC official told the FE.

A total of 900 buses will be added with the present fleet of the BRTC in the capital and other parts of the country, BRTC General Manager (Accounts) Md Amzad Hossain said.

Amzad also said 40 to 50 buses will be in reserve to tackle any unprecedented incident during the Eid period.

All necessary steps have been taken to ensure a hassle-free journey for the homebound passengers, Mr Hossain added.

The Bangladesh Railway, however, will also start selling advance train tickets tomorrow (July 29).

Meanwhile, the private bus operators began their advance Eid ticket sales on Friday (July 26) morning.
