BSA confce on August 1

The biennial conference of Bangladesh Sociological Association (BSA) will be held at the city's LGED Bhaban auditorium on August 1.

Education and Commerce Adviser Hussein Zillur Rahman will inaugurate the function as the chief guest while Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor SMA Faiz will be the special guest.

A seminar on '50 years of Sociology in Bangladesh: problems and prospects' will also be held on the occasion. Some 15 articles will be presented in three sessions of the seminar.

Sociologists have been asked to register themselves and join the conference. The registration fee is Tk 500 each. Registration will be available at the Department of Sociology of DU from 9 am to 9 pm on July 31.
