BSF picks up 3 fishermen

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up three fishermen in Poba upazila in Rajshahi district on Thursday night. The victims were identified as Ali Hossain, 18, and Shaheen Alam, 15, both sons of Pialam, and Abdul Mamin, 18, son of Shahjahan of Berpara village under the upazila. Sources said BSF personnel from Madanhati camp caught the trio in Berpara while they were going to the bordering area of the Padma River for catching fish at about 8:00 pm. Major Mohammad Bashir Ahmed, officer of 37 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh, confirmed the incident. Giving much importance to the matter, BGB tried to contact BSF several times, he added, according to UNB.
