BSF shoot two BD nationals dead on Chuadanga border

CHUADANGA, Dec 17 (UNB): India's Border Security Force (BSF) shot two Bangladeshis were dead for allegedly entering the neighbouring country through the border in Darshana upazila of Chuadanga on Saturday night.

The dead are Sajedur Rahman (27), son of Haider Ali, and Khaja Moinuddin (35), son of Shariat Ullah. They both were the residents at Chhoygharia village under Parkrisnapur-Madna union of the upazila.

Seeking anonymity, a villager said they heard two people crossed the border into India to 'smuggle' cattle at night, and they were shot dead. Biplob Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Darshana thana. said, locals might have gone into India, crossing the border, for bringing in cattle.
