Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has opened an Electromyogram (EMG) and Neuromuscular Disor-ders Clinic to offer new avenues for treatment and research for pediatric neurological patients.

Nerve conduction studies (NCS) and EMG tests play a crucial role in diagnosing neurological and musculoskeletal disorders in children.

Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed, the Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU, inaugurated the facilities at the Institute of Paediatric Neurodisorder and Autism (IPNA) and the Pediatric Neurology Department of BSMMU as the chief guest.

The Vice-Chancellor described the initiative as a momentous day for the institute, as it expands its services for special needs children.

He emphasized the need for doctors to provide more services to special needs children, while also highlighting the importance of families doing more to support these children.

By doing so, the Vice-Chancellor believes that special children will become assets for the country.

The IPNA is dedicated to nurturing the talents of special needs children, while also providing world-class services for pediatric neurology.

Several doctors and officials from the departments were present during the inauguration.
