Building catches fire in capital

A fire broke out at a residential building at Shahjadpur in the capital's Badda area on Thursday. However, there was no report of casualties.
An official at the central fire service and civil defence office told The Financial Express the fire had broken out at 2:36pm on the fifth floor of the six-storey building.
He said two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame at 3:30pm.
The fire originated from a short circuit, added the official.
