CHUADANGA, July 2 (UNB): A young businessman was abducted for ransom by extremists from his house at Parlaxmipur village in Alamdanga Upazila early Friday.
The victim was identified as Maola, 35, a bran businessman and son of Abdul Gani of same village.
Police said a gang of 10-12 armed extremists swooped on his house by breaking open its door at 3am.
Then they abducted Maola after making all inmates hostage at gunpoint.
Four hours later, the abductors demanded Tk 0.4 as ransom through mobile phone.
