Businessman Nizam dies

Garment industry entrepreneur Md Nizam Uddin passed away on Sunday at a private hospital in Chittagong.

He was 60.

After namaj-e-janaja in Chittagong and Hatiya, he was buried on Monday in his family graveyard at Ojkhali in Haitya.

He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Nizam, who hailed from Hatiya upazila, built a successful business career, helping to set up a number of apparel units in the port city.

A qulkhani and doa mahfil will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at his paternal residence in the upazila headquarters. Family members have requested all to pray for the departed soul.
