Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed has allocated 44 Aortic and Mitral Valves, 35 Oxygenetors and 35 pacemakers from his welfare quota to help treat poor heart patients, reports UNB.
The allocation has been made in favour of National Heart Institute and Hospital after evaluating the list of patients, their socioeconomic condition and necessity of the surgical operation as per proposal by the hospital authority, according to an official of the Chief Adviser's Office.
"It is expected that following the noble initiative of the Chief Adviser, 35 really poor cardiac patients would get the facility of expensive valve replacement and oxygenetors in their hearts for free," said the official.
