CA witnesses Air Force firing exercises

RASULPUR (Tangail), Nov 18 (UNB): Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed Tuesday witnessed spectacular firing exercises staged by the country's air-force troops at the Firing Range Training Centre at Rasulpur here to demonstrate their firepower.
He was impressed seeing the highest professional skill and efficiency of the pilots of the Bangladesh Air Force who participated in the annual exercises dubbed 'Firepower 2008'.
Different types of fighter aircraft, transport aircraft and helicopters, including fighter aircraft F-7 BG, F-7 MB, L-39 ZA, FT-7B and AN-32, transport aircraft C-130, MI-17 helicopter, Bell 212 helicopters and PT-6 planes, were used in the mock air-fight lasting from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The fleets of aircraft, following various modern tactics of air warfare, carried out air-to-ground live firing with bullets, rockets and bombs on various targets at the firing-range ground.
